When we arrive, we’ll greet you and explain the steps we’ll take to ensure your home is protected and the job runs smoothly.
We will protect your walls and the contents of your house by covering walls, doors, and furniture near the attic entrance with plastic and cardboard to prevent damage.
We’ll inspect the attic for any potential issues, such as disconnected ducts and exhaust vents, and document the condition with photos before starting.
Our team will set up the vacuum and remove any larger debris from the attic to prepare for the job.
We’ll carefully remove the old insulation based on the condition of the attic. If it’s a batting removal, we’ll remove it by hand. Otherwise, we’ll use our high-powered vacuum with a 6 inch hose for a thorough and efficient cleanup. Throughout the process, we take steps to minimize any dirt or dust in your home.
Before installing new insulation, we seal air gaps between your attic and the conditioned space of your home using expanding foam to improve energy efficiency. This includes around recessed lighting, AC vents, electrical and plumbing penetrations, and wall top plates. We’ll also sanitize the attic to create a cleaner and healthier environment for your home.
After sealing and sanitizing the attic, we set up our equipment and carefully blow in new insulation for even coverage. Rulers placed throughout the attic help us measure and confirm the insulation reaches the required depth for optimal energy efficiency. Our team ensures a precise, consistent application, creating a well-insulated and comfortable home.
While we take every precaution to protect your home, working in the attic comes with certain risks. In rare cases, stepping in the wrong spot could cause damage. If this occurs, we will address it promptly and professionally to ensure your peace of mind. However, pre-existing conditions such as aged or improperly installed drywall, termite damage, or moisture rot may lead to damage beyond our control, for which we are not responsible.
Once the installation is complete, we conduct a thorough inspection to ensure everything meets our highest standards. We take final photos and carefully review every aspect of the project to confirm that all work is properly completed and functioning as intended before wrapping up the job.
We’ll carefully remove all protective coverings, vacuum the walkways, and clean up any work areas to leave your home tidy and free of debris.
